Love that tortoise!
Oh, what an impressive looking creature. Hats off to you, Kay, for thinking of this very large “tortoise” for ABC Wednesday! You posted about a tortoise while I posted about a turtle. Happily, both begin with the letter “t”. :)
THAT is huge!

What a wonderful experience to see such fine creatures - Jane uk
That first picture is a prize-winner!
Amazing! Terrific turtle takes! And a timely Tilley, too. :)
That giant tortoise jogged my memory banks of Honolulu Zoo and visiting it as a child. The tortoise is the one that I most vividly remember.
That looks quite a size, what a magical experience. Wonder how long it has been trundling around the Galapagos. I've only ever seen them in the wild in Greece, at first it was quite surreal as I wasn't expecting it, fascinating creatures.
A terrific tortoise!
Aaah.. to see those maginficent creatures exactly where they are supposed to be. How wonderful.

Wow, they ARE huge!!!!! How cool to be that close to one......
WOW they really are big! Great post.
I had a tortoise pet as a kid, but nothing like that. Mine was named Pansy because every time she passed the bed of pansies she couldn't resist a bite. - Margy
I toyed with the idea of using 'turtle' for my letter T, but I haven't seen any on this trip to Hawaii.
That is a huge tortoise! Wow!
That's no Tiny Tortoise! Terrific shots, Kay and Dick!
Terrific ! How much would I love to see such a big tortoise !! I only know the little once ! You could almost ride on it, maybe a little slow, but still !
Fabulous photos. They are amazing creatures.
Cheers from Cottage Country!
What a great way to celebrate the letter T. Love the pictures in the wild.
I have always wanted to visit the Galapagos islands and see the giant tortoises and other wildlife...haven't made it there yet...maybe someday....
now that is a monster...hehe
Love your tortoise pictures. I almost posted T for turtle but didn't have time to do that.
Those tortoises are unbelievably huge. I bet they'd give a nasty nip!
