SkyWatch Friday: sunrise at our house

I don't know if I've ever posted sunrise photos on my blog before. I know I certainly haven't posted pictures of the sunrise taken from our house here in southeastern Alberta, for sure. However, the dog got us up early this morning, so Dick was able to capture these gorgeous colors as they bloomed.

Dear one, the world is waiting for the sunrise
Ev'ry rose is covered with dew
And while the world is waiting for the sunrise
In my heart I'm calling yo
u
Dear one, the world is waiting for the sunrise
Every little rosebud is covered with dew
And my heart is calling for you
The thrush on high, his sleepy mate is calling,
And my heart is calling you

I just love the colors of sunrise--it feels like a soft pink baby blanket. I like how you've captured the whole sky in pink--nicely done.
p.s. Add me as a Lindy fan :O)

In Bellingham, our windows face sunrise. In Powell River, we face sunset. Guess that gives us the best of both worlds.

Sunrise is such a pretty time of the day and you have captured it's beauty right out your back-door. Ever so soft & pretty. xx

Oooh very nice. Now that we've switched to winter time again, I don't see the sunrise. It was grey in grey anyway, lol!

I didn't know SkyWatch Friday was for people such as I!

CONUNDRUM

Imagine a world with no sky—
Through what would the geese and crows fly?
And where would bears go
If there were no snow
Falling to earth from on high?

What pretty colors. I'm not much of an early riser but a sky like that would be worth waking up before dawn. That is a pretty song Kay, great choice for the gorgeous sunrise.
