Pet Pride: dishwashing dog?

There's an old joke my husband likes to repeat, about people who had two dogs, one named Soap, and one named Water, who "washed" their dishes for them.

Lindy doesn't do that, but we do let her have a go at licking out empty peanut butter jars (plastic ones) occasionally, as well as yogurt containers. Last week she even had a cream cheese container to lick. There's never much left in there for her to get, because she's on a weight-loss diet, but there's enough to keep her interested and entertained outside for a while, or so we thought...

Okay, I'll put it down right here under my favorite tree...
and I'll hang onto it reeeeal tight...
but the jar is too deep and the opening is too small, I can't get all of it.
Oh well, the part I did get was very, very tasty, though!
Dick was easily able to sneak up on Lindy with her peanut butter jar.
She was so absorbed in it, she didn't notice him and the camera.
But a week or so later, the weather really began to change.

Hi, Dad, I'm glad you opened the door. I'm bringing this cream cheese back inside. It's cold out here.
So much cozier in the kitchen, and the indoor lighting is so flattering to my hair, isn't it, Bozo?

So cute of Lindy to bring the cream cheese back inside. She's adorable. I've never thought of letting my dogs lick the peanut bottle. I'll give it a try when the next one is available and observe their reaction.

Lindy is doing her best to get a little more of that peanut butter. It's cute watching her with the jar.

I thought maybe she was bringing the cream cheese container back for a refill. :)

What a beautiful dog! And I can already tell that she's very smart, too. I hold on to my dishes when I'm eating, too.

This is so funny! Reminds me of when our Siamese kittys used to bring their catches to the door(mice and, sadly, occasionally birds).

And yup, the light is very flattering to Lindy's beautiful coat.

Too adorable. You're making me want to go into the kitchen and find some jars with a bigger opening for Lindy. She is so beautiful.

Ah, Sam would have to fight me for the peanut butter jar, but with his beard, he doesn't get to stick his nose in any jar!! Lindy does seem to be making the most of the peanut butter jar! What fun shots for the day!

Our dog loves to finish off the yogurt, too. The only problem is, she ends up with a yogurt-covered chin!

I would be worried about her head getting stuck in one of those jars!

Our dog likes to lick the peanut butter jar out too and does a good job. I have to watch though because when she starts biting on the rim, I take it back. She would chew it down to get the very bottom if I let her!
