Yes, there is still the possibility of snow in our area. I've seen snow on May 5, enough heavy wet snow to break a tree limb in the church parking lot, and others insist there can be snow in any month of the year, but Dick and Lindy saw these signs of spring as they walked last week, so, it might as well be...

They were having snow in Ontario and points west today. Yikes!
p.s. How did your election turn out? I should turn on the news and find out.
Snow in May seems brutal! Crocuses are tough sprouting out of the hard earth through things like stones and wood chips gardeners set down. Snow or no snow they are a sure sign spring has arrived. :)
It's amazing that those delicate sweet little crocuses are tough enough to withstand the ravishes of heavy snow falls..
Wishing you a happy week Kay.
It's adorable, signs of Spring and the pictures are really beautiful!

It seems to me that Spring is also moving in like a snail into your part of our world, lol !
Hallo Kay, apparently many years ago, there was snow in our home town on Christmas day. This is mid-summer in South Africa. How lovely that Dick and Lindy were treated to those fragile looking blooms. Spring really has sprung in your part of the world. Love and hugs. Jo PS I mentioned you in my post today but couldn't link your blog in the post due to something not uploading somewhere. Pwah, new blogger is frustrating!
Crocuses are beautiful when they bloom. I really need to get a few more planted so I can enjoy them more!
pretty little crocus .. and a brown butterfly or was he just incognito?
I love crocuses. They tell me Spring is on its way.
Those first signs of spring are wonderful, whenever they happen. In the south, you could have taken this pic in February. When I was a freshman at the University of Vermont, I remember playing frisbee during the 2nd week of May, only to walk to final exams a week later amidst a snow blizzard. Can't say that I miss that climate. :D
The strangest thing happened this morning: the sun came out. I hope it isnt just a teaser! Hee hee.
Raining again here on the coast after two days of glorious warm sunshine. Spring is just a big tease. - Margy
I saw a butterfly in Norway last week and thought it was incredibly brave (or stupid of course) of it to just be flying around like that, since there was still a lot of snow in the air!
Beautiful signs of spring. We never get snow this late but our crocuses (NC Piedmont) bloom in early March and I've had them do fine with the flowers peeping through the snow. So maybe even if you get some snow your the crocuses will do fine.
Crocuses are always hopeful signs of spring - I love to see their bright colours.
Oh it can't snow now can it? Not after the crocuses have peeked out their heads.
I do love crocuses. This has been a crazy spring all around the world. It really made packing a challenge for us this time.
