A fellow was off on a quest
(He really was trying his best)
He fell off his horse,
Got back on, of course,
But from then on, his quest, it went west.*
* went west
On Mondays, the funny and talented Madeleine Begun Kane, winner of the Robert Benchley Society Award for Humor, and author of Mad Kane's Humor Blog, challenges other bloggers to write a limerick using her first line. Minor changes are allowed but the last word of the line must remain the same. This is my submission for this week, using Madeleine's first line unchanged.

Love this...I cannot write limericks and I so appreciate those who can.
Brilliant! The photo aligns so well with your words~ :D
Love your limerick! Thanks for the laugh!
what a great picture and Madeleine's site and limerick challenges are great fun. Only posted once but had a good time doing it. Loved this as always...your blog always cheers me up a bit.
Fun! I had this for Madeleleine:
A woman was off on a quest
For a knight to come feather her nest.
Thought she’d found her brave Lance,
But he put her askance
With, “M’lady, I kiss only in jest.”
I like that one. Limericks can be a lot of fun. I typically have a bit of difficulty hitting that last line though. Nice one here. Thanks
What a cute picture!
yay! more limericks!
I have never seen a monkey on a hippo! Limericks are way beyond my talent, but obviously not yours.
Very cute, and fits the picture well!
