This moth was on our kitchen window the other day, so Dick rushed off to get this camera, and managed to get a couple of shots of it. In the first photo, it is framed by our red Chevy Malibu his-and-hers cars. In the next one, it is set off by the neighbor's bush across the street.
Below, three baby birds and one adult bird were in our front yard today. One of the youngsters flew up to the window of Dick's home office, fortunately not a high window, because it obviously didn't know about glass.
We know he stayed around for some time after he fell to the ground, probably to get his breath back, but when Dick checked later, there were no birds there. We are still not sure of the identity of the babies.

What a pretty moth! And ADORABLE baby bird. Glad he survived his thump! Last night we had two lovely deer on our lawn, both were looking right at me through the window............so pretty - and timid, poor things, given the dangerous populated area they live in these days. We want to leave some apples out there for them to find next time they come through.
The baby bird is cute and 'chubby'. :)
Amazing shots, Kay. Just beautiful!
I was watching a cardinal feeding her young this morning and then heard a crow getting annoyed with a fledgling :)
Pretty moth and it is baby bird time. Good luck to this little one.
The baby bird is so sweet. Although I can see the beauty of the moth, I must admit I don't like moths much as I have a phobia about fluttering wings. I will turn lights on all over to get a moth out of the bedroom and then I shut the door quick! xxx
Great picture of the moth, I love it. And such a cute little bird - is it a towhee? It almost looks like one, but I have no idea whether you have towhees in your area. It seems that a couple of towhees is building a nest in our pineapple guava - seems a bit late for me, but who knows?
They must have just been stunned. Thank goodness...
Great capture of that lovely moth!
Nice of the moth to cooperate for you pictures. - Margy
Lovely photos! I love them.
Looks like baby crows!
Greetings from Cottage Country!
Looks like a cowbird to me Kay but I'm not sure which species you get where you live. Google some cowbirds.
