For Our World Tuesday, here are some photos from the last couple of evenings. Our darlin' dog Lindy spotted this deer on the street and she was so excited, pulling on her leash, Dick had a hard time getting clear shots of it. Please don't try to enlarge these two pictures, they'll make your eyes go funny.
My favorite is the last photo, of a sunflower's dying days.

Lovely sunset. The deer looks to be inside city limits. That always creates excitment. Hope the weather is not too cold for the little ones tonight.

I, too, love the sunflower, Kay! How can something in its last days look so exquisite? “I am sleepy and so very tired of focusing on the sky all day”, its heavy head seems to say.
It's definitely fall for you all on the mainland. I'll post some fall photos tomorrow if I can get my act together. That sad, drooping sunflower truly heralds the coming winter.
It's off and on raining today and there was a huge rainbow this morning. Mom said, "It's almost winter after all."
I love your sunflower Kay - the underside is like matting - a unique photo of a tournesol that can no longer lift it's face to follow the sun but with a beauty all of it's own.
A sunflower, dying or otherwise, is one of the most rewarding things to photograph, Kay. Love this ahor of it bent over with the weight of life oozing away.

Love the sunflower Kay, to me it speaks of the bounty of autumn and the fading of all that colourful grandeur. It is heavy with seed to feed the hungry in the coming storms. Nature so kindly provides for it's own.
Seeing a deer in town for you is like hopping kangaroos in the city for us, the anomaly causes all the fuss and excitement.

Nice shots of the deer. The poor old Sunflower is keeling over, but the birds will love the seeds. One of our neighbours has a Sunflower growing in an odd place on his drive, it gets a little taller every day and is flowering now, rather late.
