SkyWatch: beautiful blues in Uglich, Russia

The first photo below is now the iconic shot for visitors arriving in the historic small city of Uglich via the Volga River, as we did with Viking River Cruises. The bright colors of the church on the point are irresistible to tourists and Russians alike. We were fortunate to have bright, beautiful skies while there.

These are such wonderful views, Kay--I love the colors on the buildings. How did the people there feel about American tourists? I have so many questions, but am being conservative by only asking one!

I love the first shot best. Such a colourful building in the green landscape against the really blue sky. How many pictures did you take? Bunches I bet. Don't you just love digital? In the "old" days we had to count our shots or pay a huge price for developing. - Margy

How completely wonderful! It would have been wonderful to see the buildings any time, but on a blue-sky day it must have seemed like magic as the colors stand out and echo against the sky.
