Camera Critter: the day's catch

This magpie is a great mouser, and looks very proud of himself. I'm wondering if he'll drop the mouse so he can brag about his catch of the day!

Amazing capture. I've never seen a magpie. A surprisingly beautiful bird.

Wow - what an amazing shot. Our friend Margaret in Powell River calls her diner Magpie's. I believe it is from a nickname rather than the hunting prowess of its namesake. - Margy

Terrific shot - aren't magpies beautiful when you get up close - shame about their reputation x

What a perfect moment you have captured! This reminds me of Korea, they have so many magpies out there.

This picture asks: "Have you come to understand nature's ways"? A beautiful bird, with a dead mouse in its bill...

those magpies can be mean! my poor Clover was attacked by one when she was a puppy, and it traumatized her for ages!
