Canet Plage, SHADOWS on Catalan coast, France

© Photos by Kay Davies and Richard Schear

Posted for Shadow Shot Sunday, hosted
every week by Tracy over at Hey Harriet!

These photos were taken in April, 2011, at the Mediterranean beachside town of Canet Plage, on the Catalan Coast of southern France, during our March/April visit to Europe.

I wish I am there, we don't have water at the moment and it would be great to swim!

Beautiful shadows! Please come see my Shadow shots

The beach leaves us such cool shadows – they are few as the beach is empty. A perfect time to enjoy the sand sans the crowds! Warm and sunny, the beach air permeates this town to the boardwalk to the bistros. Warm, beautiful and devoid of tourists (here) – it seems the ideal vacation spot!

You certainly got around during your April sojourn, Kay. The Mediterranean coast of France is simply delightful. Some very interesting shadow shots in all the above. I must keep my eye out for some over this way.

That beach looks so inviting. There are not too many people there but then it was April, no? I bet there are many during the month of August when everyone takes their vacation.

This post is quite surprise my mom !
She couldn't believe The Mediterranean beachside in France look exactly the same as ST.Kilda Beach in Melbourne ! But the beach look more clean than ST.Kilda Beach.
Have a Great Weekend : )

The faint, barely discernible shadows in the sand are my favorite. I like having to take a second look to be sure I see what I think I see!

SHADOWY DINNER

A shadow, a shadow, a shadow you say?
A shadow is coming to dinner today?

Oh, what shall we feed it, and what will it eat?
Just toss down a few rays of light at its feet,

And watch its dark mouth gobble up every ray,
But be sure, my friend, you don’t get in its way;

Keep out of the light so it won’t gobble you.
(If I were the hostess, that’s just what I’d do.)

A shadow is easy to feed, so they say,
So welcome your shadow to dinner today.

The beach is lovely, but the buildings just bug me. I prefer the wild coasts...
