Across the street from the Europa Hotel, we could catch the bus to Perpignan, and up the street we could catch a bus to the beach at Canet Plage. The bus stops had great views of Mont Canigou. © Photos by Kay Davies and Richard Schear |
Our apartment (we didn't get any exterior shots) had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a small kitchen, a living area and a balcony big enough for a table, two chairs, and a folding laundry-dryer. The location, between Perpignan with its "center of the universe" train station (according to Salvador Dali), and Canet Plage with its beautiful Mediterranean beach, was perfect for our sightseeing needs.
Our condo at Malibu Village was the center of our world for a week in Canet-en-Rousillon. Here, Dick waits for me in the shade of the laundry room, while the camp tabby-cat sits in the shade of the wisteria pergola, hoping to see a lizard or something else to eat. Read about his hunting here. |

Love that first photo! Beautiful place to call your world even for just a week! Such a great looking place! Thanks as always, Kay, for sharing your wonderful trips with us! Hope your week is off to a great start! Enjoy!

Looks like an amazing place. Love the mountains in the background!
The apartment looks compact, efficient and clean!
That IS a lucky lizard that you write about in another post. I’m kind of glad it didn’t get eaten by the lovely cat. Love those snowy mountain caps that seem so near to your apartment. Also like your picture of Dick. He looks properly absorbed by the tourist information that one must try to digest during travel adventures. :)
what a lovely place! i love the way the mountains look as if they're floating above the rooftops, and i love the blue tile in that adorable little kitchen.
Now that is funny. We visited friends in Canet plage while we were on holidays in Spain. It is such a lovely city an it has a beautiful beach. I only didn't see the snow on the mountains but it had been hot for quite a while so it must have melted.
nice one for myworld... Have a great weekdays ahead!!! Hoping you can visit @ my little corner.
That first shot is just stunning!
Wonderful location Kay - I could spend a week there with views of that magical snow capped mountain!
You go on the best trips. It's always fun to see where you'll take us next. This looks like a delightful place to visit.
Wonderful shots of exciting trip. Snow covered mountain is beautiful.
Wonderful place to have it all for yourself, that too for a week. Great shots.
Looks as the perfect place to spend a week ! I think you have the nose for good places to live !!
I wouldn't mind spending a week there even if it was only for the view in your first photo, the mountains are gorgeous.
The kitty looks very patient as he waits for a lizard to appear.
How nice, great appartment there!I love those mountains, amazing scenery!
