I love the captures of your European visits. As I have noted before, the old world architecture styled over hundreds of years - not at all full of straight lines, but with arcs and curves that look wonderful. To travel away from home to a place of architectural artistry is great!
Arches, arches, everywhere--and you photographed them with flair!
I ONCE HAD A SHADOW
I once had a shadow—or did she have me? My shadow and I could never agree. I would say something, she’d say the reverse; Our arguments flared, my lips I would purse, Refusing to speak to her anymore— So my shadow got up and marched out the door! I have not seen her from that day to this— That’s one stubborn shadow I surely don’t miss!
ooh, that second one is superb. there's a lot going on there. the door, the pillars. this is a fabulous shot. I like the deep shadows in the next shot too, and the last one. a great series of photos Kay. happy SSS.
I bet that shade will come in handy on really hot summer days! What a pretty little town with such distinct architecture. Thanks for stopping by at mine. Enjoy the first day of summer. It's hot, hot, hot here right now!

One of my favourite areas of France. Lovely shots and especially love the dappled effect in the second one. Happy SSS.
Great shadow shots for the day as always, Kay! I, too, really love the dappled effect in the second one! Enjoy your weekend!
