The clock showed 6:45 and the sun shone through the open blinds, promising a beautiful day for Callendra Martin's wedding. This would be her last morning in her parents' house until she returned as a guest with her husband. She yawned briefly, stretched mightily, and climbed out of bed, smiling.
In her ninth novel, Love Meets Marriage, author B.K. Povich keeps readers smiling and laughing as she describes the many hilarious disasters between the house, the church, and the happily-ever-after.

Each week Lisa, at Writing in the Buff, posts a picture to inspire us to:
Write a book jacket blurb (150 words or less) so enticing that potential readers would feel compelled to buy the book.

Is that plouged land ready for planting?
hello..visiting you here.. have a nice weekend..
Oh, I loved this...and how fun to see my name as the author! What a hoot! Thanks, Kay!!
Hey, great minds think alike :) I went with a young girl waking up as well, but put a slight twist on it... Great blurb this week!
Happy 144th! I didn't realize we shared an important date for national celebration. I do hope your weekend is happy and safe.
This looks like such a sweet, fun read, and definitely snags me. I love romance! Romance takes a bum rap...no one wants to admit they read the genre, but romance novels are a huge market. I especially like the ones such as this one promises to be...real romance, real fun, and a happy ending. :)
And NOW you've put that blessed song in my head!
You should write some books, Kay because I want to know what happened!
Oh how I'd love to read that book, Kay! Hope you're enjoying your visit and have a wonderful 4th July. Blessings and (((hugs))) Jo
Ohhhhhhhhhhh, good one. Short, concise and making me want to turn the pages to read all the chaos of such a day...a day that starts with shadowed sunlight on the wall.
Quandom Popularity is my Friday's Post Link.
Have a great holiday weekend!!
There's something romantic about that photo:-) I'd love to read this humorous novel. How about it??
That is so sweet! I would really enjoy this story. I like how you took the picture and made it light, charming and happy.
Sorry you had a hard time getting on my blog; I'd like to hear more about what happened. Thanks for visiting and for your nice comment.

Your conciseness is impressive. I always struggle with that angle. Your blurb tells just enough and entices me to read more. Nicely done, Kay.
P.S. Thanks for stopping by to read my blurb. You are quick! I hadn't even entered the link on Lisa's site yet.
I agree with Lisa. I don't read romances, but the market for them is HUGE!
Humor embedded in a romance would get me hooked.
Sounds like a screen play in the making! Nice!!
I love how you dangled that sweet little excerpt in front of our faces and then tripped us up a bit with the tantalizing part about the disasters!
Great blurb Kay, it sounds like a fun book. I always want to rush out and buy the books you come up with.
Happy Canada Day!
This sounds like it would be a great book for a lazy weekend.
Definitely a comedy. Even the title made me laugh.
I absolutely love these! I keep scrolling through your blog to find and read these!
