Both lovely photos! The leaning tower is right out of the history books and must have been a thrill to see as well as explore inside. In the picture it reminds me a bit of a chimney stack with clouds of smoke billowing out.
Beautiful Italian skies. We didn't get to Pisa on our short visit to Italy several years ago. Some of our group went but we elected to tour the Uffizi. I don't regret the decision.
What a beautiful photo of the iconic leaning tower! The sky and the lighting were perfect - it really pops, and seems to be glowing from within, illuminated like that by the golden light. My grandfather was born not far from there, in Asciano di Pisa. But I have yet to travel to Italy. Visiting Tuscany is #1 on my Bucket List! Thanks for the tantalizingly beautiful sneak preview!
Yes, they can be beautiful! Especially over beautiful places like these!!
Stijn and I sure hope you guys can make it down to Reno sometime! It is much cooler here and a whole lot more to see and do! We'd love to have you as our guests!!
That tower is just so crazy! The Amalfi Coast takes my breath away... love the stone buildings perched precariously along the rim. And that little bay... oh, keep the photos coming! :)
Beautiful shots! I just read most of your posts about your trip. Sorry that you fell and got robbed. It sounds like a wonderful trip. It's funny because our original trip plans were to go Italy and I think we would have been in Rome at the same time as you and Dick. :-)
Lovely days! And hey, that tower is crooked....;>>>>! (I'd probably forget and straighten it with Picassa, since about half my shots are almost that crooked and they aren't supposed to be.)

So beautiful. But is the Tower of Pisa leaning even more than it used to?
