Succinctly yours #50: saturated

Photo provided as prompt

Succinctly Yours is a weekly microfiction meme to be found at the blog Grandma's Goulash. It's easy and it's fun. A prompt photo is posted every week for would-be microfiction writers.
The rules?
Grandma says: How low can you go? Use the photo as inspiration for a story of 140 characters (including spaces and punctuation) OR 140 words.
Grandma's daughter chooses the word of the week before she sees the photo. This week's word is saturated.
Here is my submission of 140 characters, including punctuation, spaces, and the word of the week:
*
The original photo was saturated with color: red sweater, purple coat, bright green grass. The photographer decided to use black and white.
*
This is week #50 of Succinctly Yours. Microfiction enthusiasts are hoping it will continue well past its first 'memeaversary' in two weeks!

I could see the colors, Kay. You did an awesome job with such a micro-meme :)

Nice take on this prompt, Kay. I think your photo is much better in black and white since those old people are wearing such bright colors.

These old people might be a man and a woman, or two women. A nice meme, Kay! I know that you are a writer!
Thanks for your visit. The next two weeks I shall be away in Israel. So I don't know if I can write many comments. All my posts are scheduled, however.

This is a very interesting take on the photo with a clever use of the wotw! I can imagine the colors, but I like the way the b&w emphasizes one lady's white hair & dark sweater while the other one has darker hair and a white coat.

Oh yes, the colors bring everything to life. Let's all sing:

Mama don't take my Kodachrome away

Good one, Kay.
