SkyWatch Friday: across the street

There was a great deal of twittering and tweetering going on in this tree across the street from our house, but by the time I managed to zoom in on the tree, there were only half a dozen little birds left, and I couldn't identify them. It was a few weeks ago, and the tree was showing early signs of budding. I hope nothing happened to the neighborhood trees in our recent cold snap and snow storm.

What I adore about bare branches like this, Kay, is that they hold out so much 'hope'.

I have seen summer birds, but not very many so far, and when the sky is clear, the sun is glorious! I'm glad February is over, and we are beginning March, because the weather can only get warmer and the days longer. Yay!

Great shots. Our sky yesterday and today is gray and gloomy. I haven't seen many birds this winter don't know why.

I love the starness of the bare tree branches against the blue sky. Great contrasts!

Lovely photos, lovely trees - and BLUE sky, you lucky! Ours stay predominantly gray in this valley and I am having trouble staying upright, it has gone on so long....soon, spring! Yippee! My porch swing is calling my name.

Starlings maybe? They make quite a racket and do cluster together in trees. - Margy

The bare boughs are like artistic etchings on the skies! Beautiful, upwards perspective!
