Pet Pride: hotel-happy dog

Last September I took Lindy to a hotel for the first time, and she philosophically took it in stride. She wasn't too sure about the little metal room whose door closed automatically, and was a bit surprised when the room started to move upward, but she got used to it quickly, and she was very happy to share a large hotel room with two ladies. We were there with our friend Mara (of the blog Weighty Matters) from The Netherlands, and she was pleased to find out Lindy didn't bark or misbehave in any way.
In January, Dick and I took Lindy to the Red Deer Lodge in central Alberta, to meet two of Dick's daughters and three of our grandsons. Again, she was a perfect hotel guest. In the photo below, she is on the floor, sleeping contentedly on a sheet we brought from home.

What a good dog you are, Lindy!! I'd like to think that I would be as well behaved if I ever got to go to a hotel!!! Have fun!

Kay, she looks JUST like Jas!!!!!! You reminded me of when I was coming back home to the Island from a winter in the north - Pup and I were both ECSTATIC. We stayed overnight on the beach in Parksville just to celebrate, before going on to Ucluelet, and he was just so thrilled to see the ocean again.

The sheet Lindy is on reminds me of Faiza's dog, Lara, who now sleeps on Bill's fleecy Berber blanket that I got him. She licks and licks at it and when I took it off to wash it Thursday, she gave me the hairy eyeball till I dried it and put it back. Faiza put Bill's picture in the chair where he always sat, and Lara sits and stares at it for hours. Poor girl.

Today I walked Jas down the road to the horse fields. She had a big smile on her face. It just finished hailing. Weird weather.

But in Victoria, my daughter is already planting stuff on her patio.......I will wait a bit yet to plant my tubs......another week or two.
