Our World Tuesday: snow is back

We're not out in the snow today. It's blowing a blizzard and the white stuff is piling up. Not fit for man nor beast. Dick had to cancel an appointment today — Lindy and I were going to go with him on his drive to Calgary, and picnic on the way. Ha. Did not happen.
We've had quite a few lovely days, and with the last of the previous snow we had lots of birds. I don't know where they are now. We don't even have penguins! LOL Here are a few of the species we have seen in our world:

Common Redpolls
Male (above) and
female (right) in

crabapple tree.

I wonder if there's anything under here.

Flickers

By this
time of
year, the

are fermented.

Snow can look pretty for only so long. Parts of Vancouver actually had a bit more snowfall today. With all this foul weather, Kay, I think we are all going to have to move to Winnipeg where they are enjoying unusually warm spring weather. :))

Great photos of all the birds. I wonder where they go in bad snow storms like you have described! I hope spring comes soon for you.

A Blizzard! It's 85 degrees and humid here, today. I don't know when we've had a hotter March - it must be breaking all kinds of records. Such very strange weather...

I love the male Redpolls. Such beautiful birds - another species I've never seen in real life. And the Northern Flickers, too - are those red stripes on the wing feathers?

I can't imagine how cold it must be there Kay ... but you have the delightful redpolls to brighten up your day. Keep warm and take care xx

Your birds are so beautiful. Many places up North are warmer than usual this week. (Our neighbors here in Florida are saying that their summer homes in Illinois, Indiana, etc are as warm as it is here.) Climate change.

Snow?!!!

We had 26 C. today. It was amazing. Too hot, though. We're going to need some rain.

Greetings from Cottage Country!

Isn't it always the case, Spring is such a tease but Summer means business. At least, that is the way here in my part of the world.

Love those cute little birds. They are that tame that you can take a close up photos.

Hope your snow clears soon to make way for Spring!

Oh dear, I hope the snow clears quickly, please don't send it this way! I am a keen bird watcher and I love to see all the different birds that you have, similar bt differen to a lot of our birds. I do recognise the starlings, very comical birds but sometimes a bit of a bully xxx

Winter is just reminding you he is not going quietly. The birds are pretty. Do they get drunk on the fermented fruit?

Yikes! The birds are terrific... but not so terrific would be your snow blizzard! My bones start to chill at 10C already! I'm hoping the temps will be spring comfy when we return to Wuchuan in a few days...
