Serene and undisturbed. Rarely seen unless one looks for it. Otherwise the polluted, the clogged up and even the crocodile infested ones are common in many parts of the globe! You must have enjoyed very much your sojourn in Russia. A pictorial essay book or coffee table book might follow in the near future. Given you and your family's expertise in the publication and printing line it would be easy!

That looks like a peaceful leg of your cruise. I think I would enjoy that after spending time in the city.
Mysterious cove! Looks like someone (or thing) could be hiding in there. My reflection is actually a birdbath shaped like a leaf.
so soothing and calming, it's hard to find such in malaysia. sigh...

That cove is well hidden, a perfect place to hide treasure - well if it were in the Bahamas anyway! I would imagine that the winter would have a layer of ice on the Volga. Soft shadows on a warm day in an often cold place!

Kay those trees look so green and lush .. beautiful the way the shadow cuts right into the stand of them .. I had just seen a show on the wild life that has returned in the Chernobyl area .. tracking wolves etc .. it is amazing what nature can accomplish after man made disasters ?

OH, my...yes, so beautiful! I found myself wondering if there ever were trees floated down that river for the sake of making violins.
Have no idea why that thought popped in to my head!

That is a shadowy cove and it beckons me! Its still so hot here... a watery shadowy cove sounds like a lovely place to read in the afternoon...

Why is there so much green and blue in nature? It's beautiful; that's why. Beautiful pictures, Kay.
The lighting and coloring are fabulous! I can imagine it must have been very peaceful to sit out on the deck and watch the lovely scenery pass by.
