Our August holiday with Viking River Cruises in Russia was full of photo opportunities. One of my favorites is this first shadow-shot. (You can enlarge it if you like.) Partly in sun and partly in shade, this young lady and her friend relax on the dock, with their feet up, as a local canal boat prepares to take a small load of passengers for a tour of Moscow by water.

That's sunny over there! Lovely shots!
i like the second shot of the shadow of a building on the building. thanks for including us on your trip.
Lovely shots of Moscow.
Greetings,
Filip
what a wonderful sequence from your travels...
Excellent series. My favourite is the second one, it's gorgeous!
The onion shaped domes are still the neatest thing I see, the Russian architecture so unique. so nice. We think of the cold Russian winters, so we are not familiar with the beautiful summer. Such a trip!
Fabulous ShadowSHots!! The one of St.Basil's is so loaded with shadows...marvelous. Happy SSS.
What great shots from Moscow! Such different architecture there. Great shadows as well Kay!
Thanks for the Russian tour. I am quite sure it is someplace I will never get to in real life. After all the media during the cold war, I had a much different picture in my mind of Russia. - Margy
I know that you favor the first of the shadow shots, but I think they are all enchanting!
SHADOW, SHADOW

Shadow, shadow lurking dark
In a corner of the park,
What immortal eye can see
Your transcendent symmetry?
