My husband Dick and I really enjoyed meeting Mara when we visited The Netherlands in April. When she came to Canada, Dick was busy but, with our dog Lindy for company, I drove west from home while Mara drove south from the Edmonton airport. We met in Airdrie to embark from there the next day on a whirlwind 2-day tour of "the best of Alberta according to Kay"!
These photos were taken on our way to the Rocky Mountains, and during our visit to beautiful Lake Louise, one of Canada's top tourist destinations.

The mountains' snow looks so scenic in this shot.
Hopefully will be able to visit the Chateau in two years for our college reunion.

Oh my this chateau is massive! Why this is called ghost lake? The scenery is so beautiful. Can't imagine the sight of this place in sunset or sunrise it must me spectacular too. ^_^

Kay, Absolutely gorgeous photos! My daughter just mentioned wanting to go up to Lake Louise. I was there 35 years ago and it was beautiful--would love to go again. The mts. are lovely as are the pics lakeside. Ahhhhh, so lovely. Mickie :)

I went to Lake Louise on my honeymoon (the first time around that is). We visited the beautiful hotel, but stayed in a campground in our truck and small camper shell. I remember cooling wine in the creek next to our campsite. Guess the good memory lasted lots longer than the marriage. - Margy
It looks a bit chilly along that lake--at least the walkers' jackets make me think so!
