Weekend Reflections: St. Petersburg

A couple of different angles get very different reflections in these windowed buildings we saw in St. Petersburg, during our August holiday on Russian waterways with Viking River Cruises.

Nice idea for reflection : The Kremlin looks trapped in a giant jigsaw puzzle...

I see that you captured the traditional reflected in some of those modern windows.

You found a lot of reflections! It's interesting that the glass reflects in different colors...

Sort of a fun-house effect! You are coming up with the best meme entries from your trip. I wonder if you were thinking of the memes when you were taking them or was it just serendipity when you were home and sorting?

Great reflections! And this architecture is a big contrast to your St Pete Sky Watch post. I find the old Russian architecture fascinating. As for my blue ball, google "gazing globes" and you will find many sources for them. Marianne got this one online several years ago.

Nice reflections and how easy to read the text ! Must be difficult to find a street when it's written like this. I had this in Athens when I was looking for a street and couldn't read the name !

Super reflections. Don't they have a weird alphabet?

Great reflections Kay, I especially like the second one with the reflection of the dome. Reflected skies are my favorites.

Great photos!

It's funny, you travel the world for your photos and I tootle round my own country lanes in an afternoon.
I'd love to do what you do.

I bet you were thinking of how many memes you could cover while on holidays, weren't you!

Oh, I love that circular building, and the little crooked reflection!

Gorgeous reflections, Kay. It's one thing I have yet to try.

Awesome shots, Kay! I've been planning on doing some shots like this of the university where I work. Guess I need to quit talking about it and just do it. ;-) Thanks for your comment about entering my Walking Stick in Weekend Reflections - I took that advice.

Groan, I used to be able to read that, I've just realised that I can't anymore... :-(

Love that ship!
