This week, I made it in 145 words. Thanks, Lisa, this is a great exercise to help correct my over-writing.

There are so many of these stories they reek of cliché, about people falling in love over a cup of coffee.
This is another such story but, before you return this book to the shelf, consider the lead characters...she is an ordained Christian minister, and he a devout Muslim.
“Would you mind sharing your table, ma’am?”
“I don’t mind at all, but please, my name is Julie.”
“Hello, Julie. My name is Aashir.”
“I’m very pleased to meet you, Asher,” she said.
From this casual but very civilized beginning, comes a love story to change people, neighborhoods, towns, and eventually countries—although Julie and Aashir vowed never to try changing one another.
Their family life has had a low-key, subtle, but profound impact, the extent of which is told here in Minnie Cooper’s first but fabulous non-fiction work: Biography of a Marriage.

That's a great meme and a fun post. And I want that coffee!
Hi Kay, what a great story! I like how you look to the future to show how a ripple in the middle of the lake eventually becomes waves crashing on the shore ... don't know if that makes sense; I mean their simple meeting and sharing of a table ends up reverberating for years, changing the lives of others at home and throughout the world. I would love to read this and see how they work things out by compromise and sharing.
Way to go!
Thank you for your comment on mine.

Oh my goodness Kay! You are so brilliant. I would totally read that book. It sounds compelling. Have you read anything good lately? I haven't read anything brilliant since the Help. That was good!
What a tantalising glimpse into the depths of the book. How bout if you actually write the book, so we can see where it goes? x
that does sound like such an interesting book ;-)
And they live happily....Sounds like a very interesting love story.
Book and coffee, they go together!
What a a great story,well done.
You are fantastic, Kay. You make me want to read this book! Have a great weekend. Jo
I want to read the book

i like the title! (and i have to say, that coffee looks pretty inviting, too :)
This sounds inspirational and just the sort of book I'd love to read.
What a wonderful story this would make. I was immediately captured by your blurb. It hints at the story, yet doesn't give away too many details. Just enough to insure a purchase.
Speaking of details, thanks for your informative comment on my Details post. I enjoyed my visit. :-)
Oh that Minnie Cooper -- she is my favorite author ;>)!!! I would read this story, having been drawn to the cover first of course!
And I so need to join this meme -- I can't even say I enjoyed this post in that few words.
Brilliant, and such a positive slant. I'd read this for the promise of a "soul mate" romance, but find the prospect of sociopolitical overtones fascinating.
This book raises too many questions. The impact of such questions - answered and unanswered - is tremendous. Thanks for having the courage to choose such a subject.
Your twist is subtle but profound. Love it! I would buy this one as quickly as you can say, "I do."
