Our World in St. Moritz, Switzerland, one night

Below, my intrepid photographer wearing short sleeves beside
partially-frozen Lake St. Moritz.

Our hotel by the lake, in St. Moritz, with a tunnel directly to the train station nearby.

That's our hotel on the right. We had a balcony overlooking the lake.

Our cozy warm room in the famous ski resort.

Sigh. I was in Switzerland 30 years ago (am feeling rather old at the moment!)

Interesting wall art over the hotel entrance … looks to be depicting a historic battle! What a great spot for a hotel and how wonderful that you had a balcony overlooking the lake. I see faint reflections of the train in the half-frozen water. Impressive that your intrepid photographer doesn’t seem the least bit cold. :)

@Penelope — well, you know how it is, he's lived in Alberta so long, he's immune to cold. :o)

I love the shot with the rocks reflected in the water. When I read the comment above about the red trains, I thought--what red trains? I was so taken with those beautifully arranged rocks that I completely missed the trains.

Funny how we all see things so differently. Thank you for sharing these wonderful photos.

The facade is so beautiful. Beautiful scenic sights of Switzerland, I too have very pleasant memories. :)

My husband would probably be wearing shorts. What is it with men? I'm wondering if they were still skiing on the glacier? I love the mural on the hotel.

What a great place to have a balcony, that lake is beautiful. I really like that mural.

Your intrepid photographer reminds me of me, I'm always the one in short sleeves and hubby is bundled up.

These are all lovely shots. It's fun having the shot of your husband in short sleeves photographing the snow capped mountain.

The waters of the lake look very clear. In fact, it all looks so beautiful and clean.
How very convenient to have a tunnel to the station:-)

Your beautiful photos are making me fall in love with Switzerland, Kay...the architecture and murals in Europe delight me. And I do like the shot of your "intrepid photographer". Carrying two cameras, my husband and I frequently take photos of each other taking photographs...:)

Have a super day...
