Dark Moon—Book Blurb Friday #16

Dark Moon
Dark mint chocolate from France—it was only a small gift, but it told Tara Ethan had thought of her during his trip to Europe.
What, however, had he been thinking? Tara and Ethan hadn’t been dating very long when he was called away on business. Had Ethan remembered Tara’s favorite chocolate indulgence? Was this, perhaps, the start of something?
When Tara found out it was actually the end of something, she was somewhat surprised.
Little did she know, then, she had been saved from something insidious.
In Dark Moon, author Moldorna Meekle reveals the dark side of Tara’s erstwhile suitor.
103 words including title

Title is taken from the 1957 hit "Dark Moon" sung by Gale Storm.

The goal of this meme is to:
Write a book jacket blurb (150 words or less) so enticing that potential readers would feel compelled to buy the book.
Every Thursday Lisa Ricard Claro of Writing in the Buff will post a photo that we'll pretend is the cover of a book, along with her own blurb. We are invited to post the photo on our sites along with our own 150 words-or-less blurbs, then leave our links on her blog, for entry in Book Blurb Friday.

Chocolate as a break-up gift? Wonderful idea that I wish would catch on! Let's hope you start a trend here. And in this case, she not only got the best deal, but she was saved by the chocolate! Really, that look at what-could-have-been sounds like an interesting approach to a book that I would love to read!

Very well done, Kay...the intro certainly invites us in to learn more! And I love the Gale Storm reference...it definitely dates us but is the perfect pick for this book title!

So glad you're getting a trip to your beloved White Rock soon, though I do hope it warms up a little for paddling purposes...:)

I want to thank you, too, for your lovely comments on my Oreo post. I'm slowly getting used to the house without my big boy, remembering as you say, that I will always carry him safely in my heart.

Hugs to you...:)

Like dark chocolate; sinfully delicious, so is your blurb!! Filled with delicious ideas that give the reader of some sinfully dark secrets.

So Tara has been saved from a fate worse than death? How does she find out about Ethan's dark side? Does she watch helplessly as a friend falls under his spell? Ooh, I need to know . . .

Dropped with a chocolate bar? That would leave me smiling. :D

I do love the tantalizingly dark hints in this one. I want to know how she comes to find these things out after he drops her. Guess I'll have to buy that book.

Moldorna Meekle, what a great name for an author.

I like the idea of getting dumped with chocolate, at least it won't leave a bad taste in your mouth.
