Orbs of light, and love and life

the trees, the leaves,

the colours

of the landscape

and above them all

the ephemeral blue

of the sky...

while below,

in another season,

when all the leaves

have been blown away,

the roots are exposed

to make chairs

for the toads

when they visit

the squirrels for tea
