"necklace of pearls" elisabetta trevisan |
Grace has asked us to write about one of these portraits today, and I was drawn to a painting called "necklace of pearls" but it didn't ignite what's left of my creativity, so I roamed happily through Elisabetta's works at redbubble until, suddenly, this little poem came to me.

the humble tree
loves the bumblebee
for without it
the tree will die—
without pollination
so will creation
and I

I may have taken a few liberties with scientific fact as to what kind of bees do what kind of pollination, etc., and the fact that a hollyhock isn't a tree, but poetic license and all that...you know...
Other Elisabetta Trevisan posters that caught my eye were these two:

If friends, family and fans come often, will you please promise to live forever? <3
I'd love to, with friends, family and fans!
Thank you, Kenia. I am honoured.

This is epigrammatic in its truth, Kay. Wonderful response to the picture and bull's eye on the human condition.
She certainly made eye-catching art! And I love your little poem, which despite artistic license is quite true! Well done!

Oh that is almost haiku territory Kay - beautiful!! (As are those posters.) YAM xx
I also love her nature's work but couldn't post it all ~ A lovely response Kay ~ We all need those visits from the bumblebees ~ Happy Sunday ~
Simple yet effective(and simple is a very scarce commodity in our world, so I appreciate it even more.) Everything large depends upon the small.
simple yet powerful
all the more reason to take care of and appreciate nature!
I like your gentleness yet there is strength with your message. Fabulous paintings!
I'm on Red Bubble, too, but my work isn't near as good as hers. I will look her up and check out her other contributions.
We are all part of the whole. I hope we wake up to the dangers.
So sweet and yes without creativity and art life is still.
I love the poster on the bottom right (the fruit tree with the fallen fruit below it.) And since our neighbors have started keeping bees recently, I have a new appreciation for the hard work they do! Love the poem :)
This brings the lump-in-my-throat recognition of the truth given here...your poetic license practiced perfectly here with this poignant poem, Kay.
