Kerry included a wonderful photo with "photo credit: Shotaku via photopin cc" printed beneath it. I have taken the liberty of cropping the photo because the bottom corner of it inspired my little poem today. My apologies and also my thanks to the photographer.
the tiny
amphibian
came up
from the
bottom
of the pond,
broke through
the thin
layer of ice,
and found it
covered in snow.
my mama
never warned me
about this,
he complained,
but of course
my mama
never warned me
about anything
at all

Bad mama, but great poem! Cute way to start a Monday, though if that really is a little froggy, he looks like he's in trouble.
This is sweet, Kay - and a bit scary, for the little guy!
Great write Kay...seems there are many things I wasn't warned about
amusing and clever, Kay. best wishes on your travels ~
So sweet and adorable. So much a mirror of how young ones like to believe that they "should have been told."

Oh this was clever Kay, for reasons beyond the words... I was so intrigued it made me go and look at the original photo. Blow me down, what I thought was pottery garden art turned out to be nature's stamina!! This added another dimension to your words. Lovely. YAM xx
Aww!It's tough being out in the big wide world.
Pore little guy in the pond.
There is something adorable about these bulbs breaking through the snow.. so much promise, so much uncertainty.
There are discoveries in every little activity. One can well be faced with surprises in some of them! Nicely Kay!

Mama tried to warn me, I didn't always listen!
