On a slow boat to China,
All to myself alone.
To get you and keep you
In my arms evermore,
Leave all your lovers
Weeping on the faraway shore.
Out on the briny
With the moon big and shiny,
Melting your heart of stone.
Darling, I'd love to get you
On a slow boat to China,
All to myself alone.
River for ABC Wednesday, I decided to feature more photos today
from our 2008 trip to China with Viking River Cruises.
Above, top right, Peking Opera. (Peking is now Beijing, of course, but the opera hasn't changed its name.)
Then, a little picture of me relaxing on our balcony aboard the Viking Century Sky, as we cruised the Yangtze.
Third photo: all cabins on the Viking Century Sky have balconies.
Above: Dick at the jade museum, roaring like a carved jade tiger.
Right, Dick climbed the Great Wall, I must admit I didn't even try.
Below: one of the many beautiful buildings in Old Shanghai.

What a fun, great post!! I love it! The 'slow boat to China' surely brought back memories! My daughter spent three weeks in China last year and really enjoyed it! Hope you've had a great week, Kay!

@ Anni -- I had already chosen pictures for "Sunrise, Sunset" but I guess I'll have to ditch that one. Great minds think alike, etc. LOL

Kay, I can't believe we have both gone Oriental! (Great minds think alike!) The building in the last picture looks very much like the Wing Yip's supermarket I was talking about, although it is obviously more majestic. xxx
Awesome photos and I love your theme song!
Glad that you did decide to share some more, it seems to have been a wonderful trip!
God bless you!

Seeing all the scenery in this post and the one below I would love to be On a Slow Boat IN China. Fun post Kay!
great song: i love it! great photos too.
Kay, my very first trip into China, in 1985, really WAS on a slow boat... from Hong Kong to Guangzhou, an overnight trip that today takes a few hours. A lot of familiar sites here for me. You look like you were having a marvelous time, even if you didn't climb Wànlĭ Chángchéng!
Oooh! This is so much fun! The photos are just awesome!
