Sunlight through golden grasses, sparkling on snow, in My World

Dick caught the late afternoon sun at a low angle, lighting up the dried grass and making the snow sparkle, in the coulee near our house as he and Lindy went for their daily walk recently.

Posted for the photo meme My World Tuesday,
hosted every week by a great group of photographers: Klaus, Wren, Fishing Guy and Sylvia.

Wow, that is beautiful! The snow here has all gone, although the forecasters are threatening a little more over the next couple of days, but nothing serious. x

Great picture! Such a pleasure to see a path this fresh and snowy white ... just waiting for footprints.

So beautiful, the dried grasses, enhanced by the sparkling snow. I am a fan of grasses, this picture does it for me. Happy New Year. T.

I wish we had so little snow here..."smile". I love the contrasts...grass and snow, Many thanks for your comment...I agree totally with you. But I must confess, the tiny kitten is photoshopped. I wanted to create a contrast - hard and cold against soft and warm. Hope you forgive me...

there is something about sun shining and blue skies in combination with white snow on the ground. that's lovely.

What a wonderful shot. I find the light in winter can be exceptionally beautiful. Happy New Year!

Most of the snow we got a week ago is gone and in spots we see wet grass, mud and embedded rocks in the earth. Nice capture. I don't always think of taking photos in this inbetween weather.

The light has definitely enhanced the picture.

A Very Happy New Year to you!

The grasses sparkle too, in addition to the snow.

It's much easier for me to admire the beauty of the snow when it's in your world rather than my backyard. :)

Nice. Would you believe there's no snow here? Never seen a January like it. Not in Ottawa -- back in Sarnia, it was common.

That's beautiful - the afternoon light just glows. I love snow, but we've had hardly any this "winter."

The snow is so beautiful before all the foot prints ruin it.

Your world is beautiful today, Kay, and Dick did well to capture it!

[The fishermen use larger nets than the one the boy is holding, for sure. And the fish they brought in that day are yellow fin tuna.]
