Bicycles in Beijing... cyclists in this Chinese metropolis are fearless, even when smog covers the city.
This photo, taken on our trip to China in 2008, was retouched to remove some of the smog, but it still isn't clear. |

The backbone of a whale, just off the tourist pathway on the island of Fernandina in the Galapagos chain.
In this World Heritage Site, tourists are not allowed to touch any of the plants and animals, or their remains.
Tourists are always accompanied by a naturalist guide who informs them and reminds them not to touch. |

Sometimes Dick's work involves him traveling to northern Alberta to see clients. Stopping to refuel on a recent trip,
he saw this sign on the gas pump. He couldn't use his credit card at the pump, so he had to go inside to pay.
(I'm so bad, I just love typos, except when I make them myself.) |

The letter B appears twice, in this cloud above the island of Kauai, Hawaii.

How weird! I just left a comment and it disappeared.
I wrote that I loved it that we took a photo of that same Columbus statue and that you are sure lucky that you've got Dick taking such great photos for you, too.
It's humorous when someone else makes those typos. But when you find them in the publication you work for, screams could be heard!
@ The Chair Speaks -- oh, yes, I've worked for several newspapers and I've heard some of those screams, and sometimes I was the one screaming.

A delightfully intriguing series of B's. Enjoyed it!
Brilliant collection of B's, Kay! Since I must now run off to get my backbone aligned by my chiro, remind me to tell you about my bicycling adventures in Beijing some time! Typos are one thing, but bad grammar... OUCH!
Some great B's there. Enjoyed them.
how do you get rid of the smog? I have some China photos with full of smog.
That was an interesting backbone of a whale..had never seen one, looks tough to carry all that weight around.
It took a long time before I understood the typo! Everyday I learn new things. I once saw a sign saying: "mens and womens clothes" and another one: "Hare dresser".These I understood immediately.
I am usually okay with typos, but in this case I didn't catch it at all. I guess it has something to do with the borken thing, but I can't make heads or tails of it!
Got it! Thanks to the other cleverererer ones ahead of me!
(by the way, twice in a row my wf has started with the letter b, isn't that Brilliant?)
Dear Kay,
Amazing ideas for this B theme day!
You are always creative and did such a great jog with this post.My favorite is BARCELONA, I'm still in this mood! :)
hugs
Léia
Ref the sign..perhaps their spellcheck was also borken!

You had me stumped with the 'borken' but it's hilarious! I'd love to go to the Galapagos some day as I have friends who went and said it was incredible!
