One of his favorite subjects turned out to be pelicans. In the first photo, he was aiming at the two pelicans sleeping on a branch, but inadvertently included reflections of some ducks in the background, including a white one flapping its wings.
This wasn't taken on one of our adventure tours, however, but on a side trip to Busch Gardens in Florida when we were visiting our friends Sheila and Walter in the Tampa area.
The second photo is, without a doubt, a reflection, taken for no apparent reason. I call it "Seasick Reflection" because we were aboard NCL's Pride of America, for a cruise of the Hawaiian islands, and looking at the picture for more than two seconds will make you seasick!

Great shots. I didn't start out to be a photographer - though I spent five days at the morgue in Miami, taking a forensic photographer course. I would so much rather take pictures of thigs other than dead bodies, though.
By the way, check here:

for info about oysters and aphrodisiacs. I LOVE raw oysters and could eat several dozen. In nursing school, in New Orleans, you could get them for $1.25 a dozen. Crawfish, which I also love, were 3 lbs for a dollar!
love the image.
have fun over weekend reflections.
I love reflection photographs. I went for a year or so and seemed to focus on those. And the seasick photo is great fun. Good shots.
OK, I didn't do more than glance at the second photo but even that made me a bit dizzy.
I rushed back up to the first to collect myself.
Love them both!! Big smile for the second one! Have a lovely weekend, Kay!

You certainly do get around! Those pelicans don't live too far away from me!
Great photos! The snoozing pelicans are beautiful. And I like the wavy effect in the second shot.

Good grief, you were right about the second photo, it made me feel squeamish.

the second makes me a little queasy.

Wow - that first shot is amazing! Your husband is talented! I like the second one too.
Waves were a little rough that day? At least he is still standing. LOL! Looks like it was a fun trip.
You both have very good photographic eyes, Kay. That second photo is definitely an interesting one.
I like his self portrait, although at first I wondered why you cut it in half. (at first, I got it later!)
The first photo is very artistic, the second rather funny, lol !
He is talented!
