Mellow Yellow sunsets, in Hawaii, and here at home

This modest yellow sun sinks behind a Hawaiian hill.

At sea, the sunset is spectacular. Dick zoomed in for this ball of yellow.

Even without the zoom lens, it is a little bit of okay, don't you think?

At home in southeastern Alberta, while walking the dog, Dick found this blazing yellow, purple and orange sunset at Christmas time.

As they walked along, the blaze became a small yellow streak on the horizon.

The setting sun above the sea is quite lovely but the really stunning one for me was the sunset in Alberta. What strong colours!

The snowy fields of AB with vivid paintbox colors. Reminds me of a Ted Harrison painting.

Beautiful -- I like the sunset comparisons (a "little bit OK" indeed!!!

That beautiful Christmas sunset would have made me wonder why you'd ever want to leave home, until I looked at the last photo and remembered that four-letter word 'snow'!!

Every one of these is wonderful -- thanks Kay (and Richard).

Beautiful sunsets, especially the zoomed Hawaiian and the early evening Alberta!

The leaves in my Ruby Tuesday post do look like holly, but the plant is Oregon grape. I don't remember the scientific name...Around here is grows low and somewhat shrubby, with yellow flowers in spring and purple berries in the fall.
