On a dog-walking, sunset- and deer-watching trip during this week's snowy weather, Dick accidentally achieved a bokeh effect, and we both rather liked it, with the foreground in focus and the background, in each case containing a single deer, out of focus.

Nice effort!
Lovely!
Kay,
Your photo made me feel like I was a lion. And now ( whisper ) I behind that branch.
Ready to POUNCE The Deer !
PS : But i"m Not sure anyone ever see Black & white Lion Before , You must use your imagination...HARD : )
Yay! That's definitely some deer-bokeh! Love it!
I did that several times last year when I was in the Cat park near Paris. Unfortunately I only got the bars of the cages the cats were in and it took me ages to partly work out how not to do that. Of course, if I were to try to get the foreground in focus and not the background, I would fail every time!
Not bad! Surprising though!
That's an inborn talent, then , to achieve accidentally what so many strive for ;>)....
! LOVE both of those photos! Amazing colors and subject! You can "feel" the chill in the air too.
Lovely!

Like those - unintentional talent, you see !
