Peggy's Prompt at the
Imaginary Garden with Real Toads
Peggy provided the first two photos of phishes or phish-like creations, and asked us to write about fish. We were left to find the rest of the way on our own.

What a menu of fish!
Avoid silverfish, that's my advice.
And if omega-3 is so good, how come sardines are so dumb?
Good idea! This kind of prompts make things easier. One walks on smoothly! Nicely Kay!

Love fish! What fun poem for you and for us! Ths!
I'm sorry KAy but you're obviously having way too much fun with this and we can't have that (haha) Love the internal rhyming - just fun!

Yes, I know, but I can't help it—I just enjoy silly poetry. I remember when the Cat in the Hat was new, and I was a teenager, babysitting small children. The first Dr. Seuss book I read them was Green Eggs and Ham. After my stomach settled down, I found myself becoming a humorous poet as well as a humorous essayist.
Oh, of course there were all the True Love and Undying Devotion poems to get through in my teens and 20s, but my favourites have always been the fun ones.

Bears can catch fish like it's no one's business aren't they? Salmon salad sound appetizing right now.
Fun and silly for sure! And you did cover quite a range! Thank you Kay!
You have created such a fun piece with the prompt. It does have a Dr. Suess feel to it.
Which reminds me, I need to go take my fish oil pill that was recommended for my high triglycerides. I hope it works. This is such a fun poem, Kay.
This was fish-o-licious, Kay! :)
This is fun - fish are good to eat. I now crave salmon and tuna and feel as though it's been ages since I ate some good fish. Thanks for the reminder Kay.
What fishy fun!
You certainly worked the fish theme.. and ask good questions: Do cats eat catfish?
Thank God I wasn't the only one whose funny bone was tickled by this prompt!! Love the dogfish/catfish dilemma especially.
Omega 3s rock! You just about Seussed this prompt, my dear. Amy
Love this fun fishy spill of words. :)
I like fish in art
I like fish in sauce
I like fish in tanks
depending on how much it costs.
This is brilliant and so very charming! Really makes me think of Dr. Seuss the playful attitude
The 2nd pic is so catchy!
God bless you!
