These photos are not of the completed kitchen. Some things remain to be done, like baseboards, toe-kicks, some work on the backsplash, and some painting. However, this is our world here at our house this Tuesday.

See our Lindy-colored floors? |

This is my island, which will live near the breakfast table, but can be brought into the main part of the kitchen when I need more counter space. I "invented" it, and am very pleased with the result. This photo was taken before the flooring was finished, so you can see the old flooring and some of the sub-floor. Not exactly beautiful. More photos when it's all finished and "staged"! |

Oh, Kay! This is a dream kitchen. And to think you are the designer and creator of this fabulous look! It almost makes me want to drive over to Alberta to join you, Dick and Lindy for a meal. :)
@ Penelope — It's a long drive, but I did it. You're welcome any time, you know.
Luv, K
A dream kitchen indeed and I can just imagine how much you're going to enjoy it, Kay! I love your Lindy colored floors!!

I like the cabinet colour and the backsplash. I especially like the cupboard with the circular shelves. Looks like it will be easy to get to your items stored there. I would love an island for more counter space. Maybe I should get John working on it. - Margy
Your new kitchen is beautiful, it's quite exciting working out what is going to go where and having very clean cupboards for a while! x
Wow! soon this will be great place to cook tasty food.
Congrats on your new kitchen. You must be so happy!
Oh, I really like the way it turned out. Love the color scheme and the tin backsplash (is it tin?) Can't wait to see it once you have it all staged :)
I love the backsplash!
I LOVE kitchen renovation projects... other people's, I mean. We went through that headache 8 years ago and love the result. I can't wait to see yours. What you have now is fabulous already.
Looks very nice ! Lindy seems to appreciate the new kitchen too, although I believe she is more interested in the food what you should prepare there ! Now you can spend your whole day cooking (hehehe)
Perfect! I love the backsplash...and the idea of a portable island.
Awesome! I hear that only the top decorators design rooms that coordinate with the dog. :D
It's coming along very lovely Kay! I'm loving the silver back splash. I've often thought I'd like one like it. I also love the "swishy" black and silver lampshade.
I really like the clean lines and subtle colors of your remodeled kitchen. That backsplash is terrific!
