Now that we've had a short break from pictures of the Eiffel Tower, this post includes some Dick took on his birthday at the end of March, after he climbed to the second level (115 metres, or 377 feet).
His birthday? Oh, his 67th, and he still referees high school basketball and football "because it's fun".

Happy belated birthday to your husband, Kay
Pretty sweet ! Birthday in Paris : )
xoxo
your photos are amazing.
Oh, that wide second-to-last shot is pretty impressive, Kay. It’s a beautiful horizon but the layer of smog seems ever present and also hovered over the area during my trip there last year. Funny … I didn’t realize until now that both your husband and my husband coincidentally arranged for a European trip that would coincide with their birthdays. Clever! :)
Gorgeous captures! These brought back lots of lovely memories! I love the Eiffel tower! Have a good week! Enjoy!

What a great place for a birthday! Wonderful views!
That was a great birthday challenge! I love those aerial views!
Happy belated Birthday Dick!
Marvellous views and shots.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
I remember I climbed twice up there too,(the 3rd time I went on strike) the pictures he has taken are very beautiful ! even tulips were already out ! All flowers are blooming so early this year !
Dick is sure in good shape. What a guy! Happy Birthday, Dick!
Ahh... Paris in the spring. Does it get better than this? I think Dick needs to come to Stockholm and take some views from Kaknästornet - not for the fainthearted or those with vertigo :-) Your man sounds like an amazing guy.
Glad to know you enjoy this perfect day in Paris to celebrate the Birthday of your husband!
Your pictures are wonderful, my favorite is the second composition, really awesome!
hugs

We didn't climb the Eiffel Tower, we thought about it, but my sister and I didn't feel like it! And the only photos we took of the tower itself had scaffolding on it! I think we might have to return to Paris someday and get some nice photos...
Good for Dick, having all that energy. No wonder he's dragging you all around the world! Great views of the city. I don't remember that lovely floral island, but we were there in the fall and I'm sure it all looked different.
Looks like a great trip overall. Can't wait to see where you were next.
Nice photos. Belated Happy Birthday Richard.
What a wonderful view of Paris! Worth all the steps he climbed.
On my first trip to Paris I didnt go up the Tower but on my next visit .. I hope to go this coming year .. I will .. I have to see all that for myself.....
What a great birthday treat! The view from the tower is indeed awesome.
Belated Happy Birthday wishes to Dick. It looks as though the sun shone for him - hurrah!
Nice of Richard to share his birthday pictures -- which are amazing~ (as his his birthday climbing feat -- he is fit!)
These are breathtaking shots, Kay! Can't believe I haven't made it to Paris yet...must rectify that!! Being extremely fond of heights, I could stand up there and daydream for hours.
A belated Happy Birthday wish to Dick. I found Penelope's comment amusing about the husbands arranging these trips to line up with their birthdays...clever, indeed! And please pass on to your hubby my appreciation for a really fine set of photos...:)

Although I spent 3 months living 2 streets away from the Eiffel Tower when I was a student, I have NO head for heights, so didn't go up it. Now I can see a bit of what I've missed without having to get too dizzy!
Good for your hubby -happy belated b'day to him! I like the Eiffel as a landmark, but climbing it I leave to others, like my hubby and son:)
