Richard Schear photos, with Lindy's help |
No wonder our dog Lindy is only now starting to adjust to the change from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time here in southeastern Alberta.
We humans don't really notice the subtle changes in colour until we see them in photos like these.
Both sets of photos were taken at 4:30pm, the first two on November 1 by the light of the low-slanting sun, the second two on November 4, as the sun began setting and the light turned pink. Lindy is always happy to see deer. Her distance vision is still good, and as soon as she sees them move, she wants to join them.

beautiful images Kay!
The light is beautiful at this time of the day, called the golden hour and you can see why in these beautiful shots. The deer are cute too. I bet Lindy would love to join them.
WHat gorgeous shots!
What beautifully soft lighting Dick and Lindy have captured in these photos. I'm sure Lindy would love to join those deer just to frolic in the long grass. Shadow always tells me that's what he'd do if I allowed him to catch the birds in the enclosed garden. Mmm (((Hugs))) Jo
Yes, just wonderful images, Kay; those soft colours and beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
What a wonderful time of the day for photography. The shots of the deer are just delightful.
Interesting change in colors.......I adore that rosy 4:30 glow. My fave.
Gorgeous photos and beautiful colors.
Those are really beautiful photos, Kay!
That's still a bit of sun for 4:30. Up at the cabin it's dusk, and dark by 5:00. And it's no where near the shortest day yet. - Margy

Light changes are so very subtle. I love the mellow light at this time of year.
Now the leaves start to get yellow, brown and then fall down. I hate this season. Your pictures are beautiful !
I do love seeing the color changes with the seasons. I'm glad we got to see some of it in Illinois.
