Wonderful old buildings and tall green trees provided welcome shade in the southern part of British Columbia in midsummer. We stopped for lunch in a town I've admired for years: Greenwood, BC, on Highway 3. Dick teases me because I always say, "I could live here quite happily" whether we're in BC or South America or Spain or France.

I love your sunny shadow shots for the week, Kay!! I do love the sunny days that we've had lately!! Enjoy your weekend!!
Such bright sunlight. Clearly a hot day. But what a lovely scene in the first photo and delightful shadow play in the street in the last photo.
Shadows can surround us no matter where we go or what we are doing.
Your comment to Dick says to me that you feel comfortable and at home wherever you go. Reminds me of the title of James Michener's autobiography: The World Is My Home.
Shadow Songs
