Count our words with Mama Zen, again

packing food for dog
packing food for us
I don’t know why he bothers
making such a fuss.

sure, dogs should be
protected from
Macdonalds food,
not Dad and Mum.

Protect indeed...such garbage...bleh. Good reminder...I'm going to go make a salad. :)

This is hilarious! I take better care of my dogs than I do myself, but still slip them a bit of fast food burger or chicken on occasion!

I used to love the arches. Not so much anymore, but I could still be lured there!

LONG ago, I used to work there, and the manager would let me bring stale sandwiches home for my dog, rather then throw them away. Money was tight, and it was appreciated. Sundance always wolfed them down, but afterwards there would be the pickle sitting on the floor! He never forgot those days, and any time I brought home McDonald's, he assumed it was for him, even when it wasn't!

Protecting you from McDonald's- the ultimate act of love! If you wouldn't feed it to your dog (whom you love) why to yourself?

We had a dog who came to love a drive-through. Nothing could be better than people passing yummy food in through the window!

Road Trip! This is funny, Kay. I loved Shay's story about Sundance, too. Makes me think of my black wolf, always alert for a Treat! Jas is overweight and cant have many treats which is a total bummer for me. I am ALL about treats for dogs!

Somehow fast food is a part of the trip, part of the freedom of the road not to have to prepare food.

I had a feeling you took better care of your dogs than . . .

Love the humor! I have to make an admission I did let my dog have a few french fries year a go. :)

I have celiac disease, so don't even get me started on the nightmare of packing food!

The Arches have "fallen" (oy, that was bad) in my estimation. I think it was menopause that gave me an aversion to fast food.

But hey, I had a few good decades of indulgence before my body told me what my doctor tried to, hee hee. Loved the whimsy in this, Kay, and yes, always feed pups and cats better than yourself. IT equals stars in your crown in the Hereafter. Or is that an urban legend?! Amy

You stirred up lots of comments with McD's. I still will get a coke and fries but nothing else for decades. Save yourself while you can! Agree with whoever above said if you won't feed it to your dog, why do you eat it? lol. Thanks for the very evocative poetry!

Hi Kay, I just wanted to tell you that I did post about your portable chair at Antelope Canyon today. :-)

Going on a trip? Have a great one. And what's wrong with McDonalds? I can understand you wouldn't want to give it to Lindy, but you can enjoy it once in a while can't you? Not every day granted, that would be too much.

I take it you haven't seen the pictures of the pink ooze in their burgers? lol

Have a good trip.
