Yes, I'm back...

I'm here, following a bit of a disastrous day. First, I fell out of bed (actually, I fell off the couch in my brother Rob's living room) and didn't have my glasses on, so I couldn't see the clock, didn't know what time it was, so didn't yell for help. Finally got myself up off the floor (I forget what time it was, but it wasn't too terribly early) and back into bed, and back to sleep before the rest of the family woke up.
Got to the Vancouver airport early for my 11:10am flight, which was then delayed long enough so that I missed my connecting flight in Calgary by 10 minutes. They booked me on the next flight, several hours later.
Sigh.
So, if you all promise not to laugh about me falling out of bed, and promise to be sympathetic about my delayed flight and my missed flight, I will try to come up with something more interesting for tomorrow.
And yes, it looks like the family emergency is almost over, with a happy ending, neither of which is happening because of anything I did, but at least I was there, in case I was needed.

It's always stressful to have family emergencies and for those that deal with the brunt of it, it is so nice to have the moral support of loved ones. I'm glad you didn't injure yourself with your fall. Please do take care. Hugs. xx

I've been busy with family commitments as well. Glad yours turned out well. Flying we sure are at the mercy of weather, mechanical problems and just plain old delays. Glad you made it home. - Margy

Glad you are home safe and sound at last. What a long day it must have been for you starting with a fall out of bed....how can we not laugh as long as you didn't hurt yourself.

I promise not to laugh (just a silent giggle behind a hand!) glad you didn't hurt yourself though. And what a pain missing your connecting flight! Glad you are back safe and sound xxx

Always love to hear about happy endings! Wow … that sounds like a bit of a grueling trip home. Glad you are back safe and sound but hoped to see you once more Thursday morning when I called the house. Will try and connect with you on the phone for a chat before you head off on your next journey. :)

*snicker* Oops, you don't want us to laugh, but I can't help it. Seriously, though, am very glad the emergencies weren't, if you get my drift. Welcome home and next time you are planning on coming to V, let me know and hopefully we can meet up. XXX

Jeez! Glad to see you back and you are more woman than I am. If (make that when) I fell out of bed, I yelled loud enough to raise the dead!

Very happy things are working out OK with your family emergency.
