Today she challenges members and other contributors alike to "explore the oft unappreciated art of not writing"...that is, keep words to a minimum, and she's going to issue the same challenge once a month now.
So, if I want to overwrite, I can't do it here. 35 words maximum, that's the rule.

silver skeleton—
what scenes
you must have seen
you must have seen
while you lived

I LOVE this! Particularly in conjunction with the photo. I don't think the dead tree reference can be seen without the accompanying photograph. But yes, trees must have some incredible stories to tell---especially living such long lives and likely never moving from one spot.
Blue and silver, still and moving, wet and dry, and all this full of seaside sibilants. And I always like the scene-seen type rhymes. All that in eleven words.
I love this...the photo and your words tell a story that leaves the reader to fill in the blanks.
Love the pairing of the words with your picture Kay ~ There are sure a lot of stories from those silver skeleton ~
Enjoyed your share dear Kay ~
Kay, this is GORGEOUS! I feel like I just got schooled!
Now that is poetry wrapped up in few brief words!
There it is, about the size of a postage stamp! Reading it with the picture, I am thrilled to see the regal frame of he tree still upright as if it wanted to hug, to talk.
soft lovely sounds: "Silver skeleton"
"scenes" "seen"
Without the picture, it is a skeleton of some live thing.
In either case, time for observing is over, now it is a monument to what has passed and perhaps a conduit for mermory.
Quick, simple, a little awe.
Kay, This is amazing!
I too want to take lessons from you~
YOU have Zen skills...
Beautiful!
A nice piece of your world! thanks.
