Our World Tuesday: kitchen toys

We each have a new toy in our newly-renovated kitchen. I had to give up coffee this spring because it was bothering my stomach, so Dick bought a Keurig coffee machine, which makes one cup of coffee at a time. I used to drink lots of coffee,  all day long, but he only has one large cup first thing in the morning.

On the other side of the kitchen, between the sink and the fridge, is my new vegetable juicer. I've learned to use a plastic bag inside the pulp-catcher, so I have one less part to wash. Juicing is not a task for the faint of heart, believe me, but I enjoy the juice, and Lindy loves the pulp.

I love coffee and my Keurig coffee maker. And the juicer sounds great too. It is cool to have these neat kitchen toys. I hope you have a great week ahead.

Wow, those look like you need instructions to operate them. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

Good for you! Hubby just bought a machine that does high-test coffee, one cup at a time. He loves it!
I like the idea of the Keurig, but we drink a potful every morning between us. My reward for getting up!!!!
Cheers from Cottage Country!

Looks like you've got two great toys there. I use a plastic bag in the pulp bin too and just rinse it after I take out the pulp. I'm sure both you and Lindy are going to get healthy from the juicing.

I very much like the parts I can see of your new kitchen, Kay. However, I am very annoyed that when I was using a juicer it never occurred to me to use a plastic bag inside the pulp catcher. That little chore one of the reasons I gave up on the entire process. I’m sure the new juicers are made better now. Mine was a mess to clean. And I needed eight carrots to make a small cup of juice!

Great kitchen and nice toys....can you add caffeine to the juice though? (I'd hate to have to give up my coffee!)

Love your kitchen and your toys! We don't have a coffee maker like yours but we do have a French coffee press that makes one cup of coffee at a time.
