If you miss the train I'm on...

France

France
If you miss the train I'm on
You will know that I am gone
You can hear the whistle blow
A hundred miles...

I love that song and also train travel. We're going to check out another steam locomotive this weekend.

I love this song, I am never a good singer, or remember the lyrics. Recently I was teaching the Under the sea to ESOL kids, I just teach them under the sea, 3 itmes, and we all live in a yellow sybmarine the chorus only.

I love 500 miles.

I think, I am not sure these rodents are possums. In New Zealand possoms were introduced for their fur long time ago. The fur business were noot lucrative, th epossums became feral, and spread every where. They became obnoxious animals biting tree trunks and killing saplings and eating fruits. I have no idea how the raps caught them.

My friend uses fruit to trap them. Recently, possum fur have become very good again. They are warmer than other fur including wool. I will ask my friend.

The Swiss train looks the best, at least from inside ! The Thalys is more boring than the Eurostar, at least the seats are in a nice blue !

Maybe a little more than 500.
I really like your collection of train photos, great shots.

This song brings back memories of a lot of campfires.

I seem to have missed lots of your posts, sorry. I've been trying to make a photo book istead of reading blogs. We love train travel too, especially in Switzerland. The Glacier Express was a great trip.

I love train travel and would enjoy going to Europe just to ride the rails. :)

I like travelling by train in Europe, where you can pass through three countries in just a few hours. As I come from a HUGE land, it used to amuse me no end. Now here in this tiny country, I'd just be happy if the trains ran at all :-)

I love trains, and my everyday commute is a little bit smaller than these.

...you can hear the whistle blow, 500 miles...One of my old time, all time favorites.

One train ride I would LOVE to take is across Canada!

@ EG Wow — I've taken the train from Vancouver to the Rockies before, so last year I went the rest of the way, from Edmonton to the Maritimes. A dream come true, but only if you travel with a berth or a room, so you can enjoy the delight of meals in the dining car. It's like a cruise on wheels.

Great looking trains. They look clean. The ones in Chicago were... ummmmm.... not great. The ones in Japan were really spiffy and clean.
