Book Blurb Friday: The Music Room

THE MUSIC ROOM
The orchestra consisted of many strange instruments: two jugs played by young women on high stools, pan pipes played by a young boy in a squashed hat, a bell rung by an old man in a ragged robe, and one French horn awaiting its musician.
Harold had auditioned for the position of solo vocalist, and was shocked to find out he was expected to perform nude, with one hand held behind his back.
Suddenly, a shot rang out—awakening him, showing him the brass statues all around the room, statues in the same attitudes as the musicians in his dream, and one French horn awaiting its master.
Was the dream real? Was the shot real? And what of the statue that looked like Harold himself?
Read The Music Room by I.M. Haroldson, to find out the grisly truth. Coming soon to a bookstore near you.

Haha! IM Haroldson...well I guess he'd know the truth! You've assembled quite a motley cast of characters. Love it!

Kay,
We were on the same thought trail for this week's BBF! I went the horror route also...but I didn't start out with that thought...just sort of went there! LOL!

Okay, I got over the shock of poor Harold having to play nude, and now I am in awe-what will happen next?
(BTW, I didn't even get the I.M. Haroldson until I looked back a second time-LOL!)

'Grisly' eh? Certainly full of possibilities, and your book promises to reveal most of them

"with one hand held behind his back"....interesting. I wonder what part the two dolphins play in this mystery? And who fired the mysterious shot, if it was a shot!

I love this one Kay!

Awesome! It sounds like an interesting dream ... and book, to me. Keep on writing it so that we can find out what happens next.

Some orchestra! I hope it all turns out to be a horrible dream - but a book-length one so that we can enjoy it;-)

Two twists in less than 150 words - skill! Brilliant tease.

I was hooked somewhere between the nudity and the French horns. And "grisly truth??" Irresistible!
