Book Blurb Friday the 13th of May

Somewhere

Desirée had felt abandoned all her life, but when her adoptive parents sold their prairie farm, the place where all Desirée’s earliest memories had been formed, and moved overseas without her, she knew she had been abandoned for certain.
Only eighteen, without a passport, with very little money in the bank, no job and nowhere to live, she took a last look at the hulk of the old station-wagon in the north field, lifted her backpack, and began walking toward the road, hoping to hitch a ride to...somewhere.
In this, her fifteenth novel, Brianna Jeffreys examines the heart and mind of a bewildered girl whose world has inexplicably crashed around her shoulders, as well as the motives of the parents—the second set of parents, from Desirée’s perspective—who had abandoned her.
Find out how she coped, and managed to overcome. “Somewhere” — in a bookstore near you, now.

Oh yes, this is definitely one to buy - that word 'bewildered' said it all ...

Sense of desolation in the picture is reflected Desiree's story. Nice one!

It makes you wish there was such a book so you could find out what happens to Desiree! Get to writing, girl!

Yes, you hooked me. Poor kid--but she's got spunk and I know she'll do well. Now I just wish I could really read about it! I want to know where she ends up and why her parents abandoned her. *sigh*

Kay,
I'd be reading this for certain - love the premise for the story...a teen being suddenly abandoned by her adoptive parents. I'd surely want to know more about the girl to find out why. Good Blurb.

This was wonderful! I'm a sucker for "against all odds" kinds of stories, and this is right up there with the best of them!

Wow! This is great. I feel so bad for her; how could those people slam the door in her face like that? I want to know about who she meets, how they help her and learn the rest of the story.

What an ironic name for an abandoned girl! Desirée's journey is sure to be a page-turner - I do hope she doesn't encounter danger!

This is so melancholy but kind of full of hope. Poor Desiree ... I hope she makes it out there in the big world all by herself. Well done. It sounds like a real book!

Great book blurb, I want to know how this kid survived, as I am certain she did.
