Saint-Malo, Bretagne (Brittany), France |
The interior of the old walled city was destroyed by bombs in WWII but has been restored to resemble, as much as possible, its old self. |

Absolutely fantastic photos for SWF!Have a great weekend!
What beautiful skies. You are so lucky to have seen so many places, Kay!
Beautiful photos! :)
Hi Kay, I feel like I am touring along side with you.
Clear blue skies!
It's nice that they restored the city wall. Too often it is seen as too expensive or not modern to make things look as they once did. The a sense of place, a sense of history is lost.
Oh, such beautiful, blue skies! I love them, Kay! Terrific captures as always! Have really enjoyed sharing your trip! Hope you have a great weekend!

Thanks for visiting My Sky Watch Friday
Hi Kay,
Wow! What a wonderful selection of sky shots. Thanks so much for sharing them with us. Too bad that the inside of the castle is destroyed.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Kathy M.
Those are blue skies and magnificent shots! Looks like the town has a big sailboat community. Enjoy the skies...
Lovely photos of Saint-Malo - I have just read a novel which included a trip to St Malo, so am delighted to see it in your post today.
Have a safe week-end.
Looks like a perfect day for exploring this beautiful place.
Such gorgeous captures.
My Skywatch, please come and see.
Love your shots. I feel I am also part of the tour, ^_^ Happy weekend!

Beautiful skies and water! They did a great job of rebuilding after WWII.
Happy Skywatch, Kay! Gorgeous photos!
Ahhh... a cloudless blue sky always provides a wonderful backdrop to any scene.
I love those clear blue skies, beautiful shots Kay.
Looks like such a beautiful, peaceful day.
I have never been in St. Malo. The habours look like in Southern France !
Thank you for the mini tour around Saint Malo, Kay!
LOOKING UP
No matter if blue or if grey,
The sky is my favorite way
To find my heart’s ease;
And now, if you please,
I must go look up straightaway.

Lovely skies--thank for the interesting photos --nice to see shots of places I'll probably never get too. Have a lovely weekend. Mickie :)
Beautiful shots. I was impressed with the restored walled city. The evil that men do destroys so much, but those who survive and remember can (partly) restore it.
Such a charming little spot, and your photos show it to full advantage! I would very much enjoy poking about the restored city with camera in hand, but for now am content to share the trip with you vicariously...:)

Great photos.
I love the rugged brittany. My favorite places ar in the far west. We come there in our sailboat several times.
But I have not been to Saint Malo.
I'm glad you had beautiful blue skies when you visited St Malo. I was there last with my mother in the '90s and I just inherited a painting of the place she bought there from her!
Wonderful photography.. Love the blue. Stunning.
What gorgeous shots of St. Malo! Beautiful blue skies!
have a wonderful weekend Kay!
You just have to love Saint Malo.
