E is for Ecological Reserve in Ecuador

Someone who has read the Unfittie's Guide chapters at the beginning of this blog will remember one of the things I've had to accept as an unfittie traveling with a healthy husband - I can't always take part in activities he enjoys.

One such day in Ecuador, after we had visited the Galapagos Islands, Dick took a tour to the Antisana Ecological Reserve. Here, for ABC Wednesday's E day, are some of the pictures he took.

That must have been an amazing trip. I like the picture your husband took of the plants. That last picture looks like they are long-haired animals by the shrubs.

Good thing he is a good photographer, so he can share it with you the best way he can!

What a beautiful place. All the shots are excellent but I find the last one particularly enticing.

The grasses in the photos look very much like some I try to grow in my garden.

This is a good choice for "E". I enjoy seeing the different places being preserved.
In our family it is Hubby that can no longer go all of the places I'd like to go. I think it is harder for a women to get out on her own, in part because our men still want to be there to "protect" us.

It must be hard to have to sit on the sidelines on some of those gorgeous locations you visit. Especially seeing the photos afterwards.

Wow, isn't mother nature awesome? Sometimes people like you and me are limited to share the experience by photographs, but they bring much joy, too. Thanks to you and your husband for sharing.

Looks a fascinating place. I have always wondered what it must be like to live in a place with equal light and dark.
