Most years, Dick qualifies for his employers' trip to a warm climate during our cold Canadian winters. Most times, I enjoy accompanying him. When, however, a trip is scheduled for a warmer time of year, I find hot climates too much for my constitution. I'm glad Dick has daughters who can go with him. One year, he and his daughter Monica stayed at the Grand Hotel Bavaro in the Dominican Republic.
Yellow flowers can be seen in different places around the hotel.

And what's this? The light makes all the food look deliciously yellow, too. |

Lucky daughter! What a gorgeous hotel.
Hi Kay! It's too bad you didn't go along on this trip to the Caribbean, although I understand heat is not your favorite temperature. I've not been there either. This looks like an elegant hotel and the fresh yellow flowers sure brighten up the place. With that yellow food photo, I am now hungry... going for a bight to eat. :-D
It is nice of your husband to share his pictures with you (and you with us). Be even nicer tho if the trips would be scheduled in the Winter so you could go too.
That looks like a most excellent resort.
What a gorgeous hotel! Maybe you'll get to stay there another time. I love that curvy couch!
I could be happy staying at that hotel!!! Looks like a lovely place.
That looks a most inviting hotel. Perhaps you could have stayed in the air-conditioned luxury.
What a wonderful place :)
I wish I had a boss like that! He only sends me to Rome to work and I never get to see much...
Oh what a gorgeous place to stay! I like that blue chaise..

The kitchen yellows are the most savory to me!
YELLOW CURES THE BLAHS
A seeker of yellow, they say,
Is likely to savor the day
If painted in cream
Or golden—a dream
That overcomes all shades of grey!

Very pretty, Kay. While I love the colors of the Caribbean, especially the sea, I have NEVER been one to lie in the sun, slathering myself with oil to acquire a tan. That's why I was surprised to find the small mole, on the side of my nose, had become a basal cell carcinoma. I just had it biopsied and the dermatologist agrees with my diagnosis. When the pathology report comes back, I'll go the UCSF MOHS clinc for futher microsurgery!!
This place really does look grand. & how nice of you to encourage your hubby to spend time with his daughters. You seem like you have a wonderful relationship!
What a fanciful, beautiful, and wonderful place! Your photos are so striking!
What a grand place!
I just looooooooove your shots of the rabbit and Lindy!
So very grand! ~ Looks like a setting for a movie.
