"A red stone building, bare trees, and
a clock with an upside down 2.
Totally weird postcard!"
I also thought the 7 looked like an inverted 2, but didn't use it in my submission.
Dr. Watson, you're late. You know I abhor lateness. Obviously there's nothing wrong here. - Holmes

Posted for Microfiction Monday, hosted every week by Susan at Stony River.
It is simplicity itself, although not necessarily easy. First, Susan provides us with a photo or a picture to use as inspiration for a poem or a very, very short story. 140 characters short, including spaces and punctuation is all we may employ, the maximum number of characters in a tweet.

Tardy Dr. Watson!
I've participated in this MicroFiction meme too. My first time, so drop by please, if you have a minute. Have a lovely day.
Nothing wrong here but Great Fiction, and me and my mom love your photo, Kay : )

Poor Dr. Watson can never please Holmes.
But Holmes, what about those boarded up windows?
LOL! That would be a very odd postcard :-)
LOVE the Sherlock Holmes take on this! Have you seen the new Masterpiece Mystery series they did just this year? I liked it very much, although I still think Jeremy Brett was the best Sherlock ever.
